Bringing Mindfulness to Life Through Art

The workshop was inspired by the potential mental health benefits of practicing suminagashi. This meditative process reflects mindfulness principles like presence, acceptance, and awareness.

Participants will start with a relaxing, artist-led walk in Viaduct Park to connect with the natural elements—rippling water, shifting light, and the breeze. Back at Arc at Hat Works, inspired by nature, they’ll create their own beautiful marbled prints.

This unique experience combines mindfulness, creativity, and an introduction to the ancient Japanese art of suminagashi.
